Myth: A sleeping pill will help.
Fact: Almost nine million Americans taking prescription medication to address their insomnia, and even more using herbal or over-the-counter remedies. Taking these sleeping pills may help for one night but they will not treat the cause of your insomnia.
Insomnia caused by underlying and hidden conditions which is then treated by a sleeping pill may provide temporary relief, but it is not a treatment.
